2022 ENTRY SYSTEM 25th January

2022 ENTRY SYSTEM 25th January

Here we go guys..............
In order to take the pressure off of you all and the entry system, we will once again use the Registration system. In essence this takes all of the panic out of trying to gain a place in all of the races.
Registrations will open next Tuesday 1st February by clicking the appropriate class link on the left hand side of this page. You will need a credit or debit card handy as the cost to register will be just £1. This is necessary as the system was originally built to take entries straight away and it is not cost effective to remove this part of the system. Once completed you will receive an automated e-mail to say that your registration has been received into the system.
THERE IS NO NEED TO RUSH THIS PROCESS SO IT IS IMPORTANT TO TAKE YOUR TIME AND ENTER THE CORRECT INFORMATION.
It is much easier to enter using a PC rather than an i phone if at all possible.
YOU SHOULD ONLY REGISTER ONCE AND IN ONE CLASS ONLY.
Within seven days of your registration you will then receive a further e-mail to inform you that you either (a) have a place subject to making the full payment within two days - or - you have unfortunately not been given a place.
In all communications you will receive your VM number which you WILL need to place an entry.
You must also ALWAYS use the same e-mail address from which you originally registered.
The classes available this year are published on the news item immediately below this one. There is a class for everyone. If you do not have a 2022 ACU Licence there is an opportunity to purchase a One Event Licence (£15) on line.
All Team entries are handled separately by sonia.goggin@acu.org and will not feature in the on line system. Previous event Team Managers should have received a communication direct from her.
If you need any further information regarding entries, please e-mail the team at info@vetsmxdn.org

NORTHERN IRELAND TAKE UNEXPECTED WIN

NORTHERN IRELAND TAKE UNEXPECTED WIN

Led by Gordon Crockard, Team Northern Ireland scored a narrow victory over Team Wales in the super competitive Evo Team races during the weekend. The three favourites, USA, Belgium and Great Britain were pushed down into third, fourth and fifth positions.
With his mother being Irish, Neville Bradshaw was a strong part of the NI quartet and good backing from Thomas Merton and Trevor Cubitt was enough to give the under dogs a slender five points advantage at the end of four furious races.
Team USA rider Mike Brown dominated the class with four hard fought wins and were second after the first moto on Saturday behind Belgium. However, the deficit was too big as both the winners and Wales packed their three point scoring riders into top ten positions and effectively halved their first moto tally in the remaining three six lap encounters.
In the secondary Twin shock competition British teams crowded the podium with Team South West taking a comfortable victory from England and the North of England. The winning team of Wayne Butt, Luke Hill, Lance Marshall and Terry House went into the final moto with a sixteen point advantage and when they packed the top ten positions they were able to celebrate before leaving the track.

Team Belgium and Germany MX Classic take honours

Team Belgium and Germany MX Classic take honours

In what many describe as the "best ever", the eleventh running of the event took place in perfect conditions over the weekend.
As expected, Belgium, USA and England were the front runners in the main Evo competition which was decided in the final moto of the day when the Belgian squad doubled their advantage to nineteen points over the USA quartet. England suffered an early setback when Stephen Sword crashed heavily early on Saturday in the qualifying session so the three remaining riders had to ensure they finished all four motos.
In the secondary Twinshock Vets MXdN, Team Classic Germany dominated proceedings, packing their three point scoring riders into the top six positions in every moto. England finished second thanks to the USA suffering one maximum in the final moto when only two of their team finished the race.
Impressive racing was also witnessed by the large crowd in the supporting races and we look forward to a full report from our Media Partners, Trials and Motocross News on Thursday.
Details of the 2020 event will be released on this website during November.
